My client is looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper on a permanent basis.  Reporting to the MD you will be solely responsible for the timely and accurate processing of accounts up to Trial Balance

Working in a hands-on environment this role requires a confident self-starter with excellent organisational skills.  You will enjoy taking sole responsibility of the day to day bookkeeping coupled with working effectively across all areas of the business, customers and suppliers.

You will equally have an adaptable approach to carrying out both finance and administrative duties.

Key duties & responsibilities will include:

  • All aspects of purchase ledger; coding and processing purchase invoices, supplier statement reconciliations and payments
  • Timely and accurate raising of sales invoices
  • Cash allocation
  • Bank reconciliations
  • VAT returns
  • Stock control
  • Ad-hoc administrative duties such as fleet management and stock compliance

You will have the following skills:

  • Able to produce accounts up to Trial Balance
  • Flexible and happy to help in all areas of a small office environment
  • Self-sufficient with good working knowledge of software / Excel
