Senior Statutory Accountant

Our client, a Central London based FinTech company is looking to hire a Senior Statutory Accountant to work closely with their Financial Controller across their UK entities and international offices.

The company specialises in provided tech solutions and intermediary services to Banking/FS transactions. As the company has gone from strength to strength and continues to grow, this is a newly created position to assist with the workload.

Duties include:

• Working with the Financial Controller to manage statutory audit procedures, including responding directly to requests for extended information and supporting papers during audit, to timeline and deadline.
• Assisting with the development of budgets and monitoring them for each of the groups companies (3 in UK) and the Group’s 3 overseas representative offices.
• Monitoring investments and preparing investment evaluations for presentation to Group Board
• Working closely with the Financial controller to monitor accounts, cash flow and all financial transactions
• Review and approval of quarterly VAT return
• Preparation and review of corporation tax calculations
• Working with finance team to ensure finance systems are maintained and optimised through greater automation
• Assisting with the negotiation and execution of agreements with auditing and related professional advisory companies
• Supporting the Financial Controller in maintaining a good relationship with house banks, particularly in the UK, and developing relationships and services with new banks and FI to support the Group’s requirements

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
• Must have practice trained
• Experience working with multi currencies
• Must have impecable Analytical and Written skills
• Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts (Essential) with overseas entities (Desirable)

The role is paying between £70,000-£80,000 pa, however for the right candidate there may be some flexibility shown.
