Job Title: Finance Officer
Salary: 28k

We are currently recruiting for a Charity based in the City who is looking for a dynamic and passionate Finance Officer for their finance team. This role will offer exposure to Financial Controller duties so is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

They are looking for someone ideally with a minimum of 2 years similar experience, charity sector experieence and excellent Excel skills.

Key duties will include:

Assist in the timely preparation of Management Information, Management Accounts and Board Reports for Management and Board of Trustees for multiple entities.
Assist in the preparation of the draft statutory annual accounts in compliance with SORP.
Assist with the preparation of the annual budget.
Assist the Head of HR and Head of Finance to ensure the accuracy of the monthly Payroll.
Maintenance of the accounting software in respect of:
o Posting of invoices
o Checking invoices and obtaining approvals
o Checking staff expenses to receipts and ensuring all back up documentation is accurate
o Administration of supplier accounts
o Complete accurate journal preparation and posting
o Ensure accurate reconciliation of key control accounts
o Ensure all bank reconciliations are completed in a timely manner

Ideally they would like someone to start ASAP but they can wait for the right person on notice.
