Finance Assistant
18,000 to 28,000 per annum

Our client, a law firm based in Chelmsford, is recruiting for a Finance Assistant with previous experience of working for a law firm. They will also consider someone with an accountancy practice background who has experience on conveyancing.

Responsibilities of the post holder will include:
Confirming receipt of funds to clients and fee earners
Write out cheques for deposits and return of client funds
Banking cheques and allocating to client ledgers
Allocate Client Account banking from bank statements (check Debits and Credits)
Take card payments over the telephone from clients
Allocating Land Registry and transferring fees from client to office
Checking completion statements
Preparing final bills after completion
