Our client is a Top 50 firm, recruiting for an Audit Senior to work both in their office based in the heart of London, and also across Greater London at clients premises.
Based in London, our client is a reputable mid-tier firm that are looking to develop and continue to build their audit offering in the NFP team. The firm manages prestigious portfolios in a variety of different sectors including schools, charities and academies and would ideally be looking for someone with experience of working with clients within these sectors.
This is a key role within the Audit team and will report to and work with the Audit Mangers and Partners. As Audit Senior the role entails a split of both audit and accounts though there is a significant weighting on audit. The varied nature of the role offers excellent all round exposure as well as a clear route for progression for nominated staff to enter onto a development programme.
Responsibilities include but will not be limited to the following:
Planning, budgeting and executing all Audit assignment from start to finish
Working with a range of entities including Listed companies, HNWIs and Owner managed businesses
Leading accounts assignments on a range of clients in the Entertainment, Property and Retail sectors
You will have full responsibility for all aspects of planning and performing all audit assignments from start to finish, including budgets and client meetings and visits
Training, delegating, monitoring and reviewing the work of junior staff on large assignments
Our clients are looking for the perfect candidate; a high level of education and an abundance of self-motivation. Strong Audit and or Accounts exposure are essential in whatever split that is. Ideally candidates will be either ACCA/ACA/CA Qualified or a finalist but will need to have at least 1 year experience in a UK accountancy firm. In some cases it will be necessary to drive to clients and in some case public transport will suffice. Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:
Excellent numerical skills
High level of accuracy and attention the detail
Effective organisation and time management
Ability to delegate and communicate effectively
Pro-active and take initiative
Able to commute easily to and around London
