Our client, a construction business in the City, is looking for an Accounts Assistant for a temporary assignment of at least a month. They are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years finance experience covering both sales and purchase ledger.

Key responsibilities:

Take full ownership of the purchase ledger function.
Set up new supplier accounts.
Process suppliers invoices for payment.
Create and make BACS or CHAPS payments for pro-forma invoices.
Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
Process employees weekly payments, code and allocate their cost to jobs.
Process subcontractor payment certificates.
Issue cheques or make BACS payments to subcontractors.
Weekly bank reconciliations

Candidates must bee immediately available to start to be considered. Good Excel skills are essential and if you have used COINS it would be a bonus but not essential.
